A quick look at the Northwest Arctic Borough School District Science Curriculum shows that they try and make their classes as relevant as possible to their students. Coursework is organized into thematic units designed to prepare students for future careers as well as higher education. Teachers are encouraged to use a variety of science texts and local resources in their classrooms so students learn to research data from a variety of resources.
